Prices Vary, but a San Diego Home Buyer can expect to pay at least $500 for a home inspection from a reputable company on an average 2,000-square-foot home, and, the price can easily push to $600 or $700-plus if you have a larger home or need additional home inspection services, such as mold inspections or termite inspections, which aren’t typically included.
A typical San Diego Home Inspection usually takes between 2 to 4 hours to complete. As part of the home inspection service, upon completion of the home inspection, our San Diego Home Inspector will usually meet with the home buyers and their real estate agent to discuss their findings. This meeting usually lasts about a half hour depending on any questions and the details needing to be discussed.
Most of the time, the full inspection report is delivered to both the home buyer and the buyer’s real estate agent within 24 hours.
No, the buyer does not need to be present for the entire inspection process. Usually the home buyer is given a time by their real estate agent to show up and ask the home inspector any questions. While it is advised to be present at the end of the property inspection, the choice remains up to the home buyer if/when they would like to arrive for the detailed home inspection discussion.
